Alento Class Descriptions

Monday

10.30am Pilates Mixed
Different levels are offered with ongoing feedback and interaction throughout the class. Beginners are welcome but you will gain more from this class if you have previously completed a Pilates Introduction course, most current participants are working at Level 1 with a sprinkling of level 2 options.

7pm Classical Mat Pilates
This session is a Follow Along class delivered over Zoom and in the Studio. Level 2 is suited to an improver- someone who has been doing Pilates a while, or has reasonable strength and range of movement in most joints, for example you should be able to complete The Hundred with your head raised and vertical straight (ish) legs. We are currently learning the full 34 mat exercises as designed by Joseph Pilates which are advanced.

Tuesday
10.30am Pilates Mixed (Wallops Parish Hall)
Different levels are offered with ongoing feedback and interaction throughout the class. Beginners are welcome but you will gain more from this class if you have previously completed a Pilates Introduction course, this is currently an evenly mixed class between level 1 & 2.

6.45pm Dancefit (Weyhill)
This Dance based fitness class is in Weyhill Fairground Hall. It is a high energy class filled with jacks and squats, mixed with fun dance moves. You will benefit from moving every joint in every direction improving co-ordination and balance.

8pm Pilates Mixed
Different levels are offered with ongoing feedback and interaction throughout the class. Beginners are welcome but you will gain more from this class if you have previously completed an Pilates Introduction course, most current participants are working at Level 2 with level 1 options offered.

Wednesday
10.30am Pilates Mixed
Different levels are offered with ongoing feedback and interaction throughout the class. Beginners are welcome but you will gain more from this class if you have previously completed a Pilates Introduction course, most current participants are working at Level 1.

6.30pm Pilates
This session is for anyone new to Pilates wondering what it’s all about! The six Pilates Principles will be explained and integrated into the exercises. We will progressively work at the intensity of the participants with future class recommendations will be given at the end of the course.

Thursday
9.15am Body Strong
Body Strong has places available in the studio, over Zoom and is recorded for On Demand workouts. It is a full body workout designed to increase overall strength, including your core. We use kettlebells, handheld weights and our own body weight.


Notes
Participants will need their own mat for hygiene.
We work in clean bare feet or grippy socks. And comfortable clothing you move easily in.
Follow along classes will be teacher led from the front mat and are usually also available on Zoom
